Robert Griffin III names Heisman front runners entering Week 11

The race for the Heisman is heating up as we head down the stretch of the regular season. Robert Griffin III has named his front runners heading into Week 11 and Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker made the list.
The other 7 players listed were Michigan running back Blake Corum, TCU quarterback Max Duggan, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, USC quarterback Caleb Williams, Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud, Jackson State’s Shedeur Sanders, and UIW quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr.

The 6-foot-4, 218-pound Hooker has passed for 2,533 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions with a QBR of 89.1 for No. 5 Tennessee. The senior from Greensboro, NC has passed for at least 275 yards 5 times this season. Hooker has thrown at least 2 touchdowns in eight contests this season. Hooker has also rushed for 355 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Hooker’s best game this season was when he completed 21 of his 30 passes for 385 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 1 interceptions in a 52-49 victory against then No. 3 Alabama.
