Robert Griffin III remains all-in on Hendon Hooker as a Heisman Trophy candidate.
Back on Sept. 24, Griffin tweeted “Hendon Hooker is the runaway Heisman Favorite after todays performance.” RG3’s endorsement is a valuable one. The former Baylor quarterback gets a vote as a Heisman winner.
This week, Griffin maintained that the Tennessee quarterback is the No. 1 front-runner to win college football’s most coveted individual award. Hooker is the only SEC player on the ESPN analyst’s list of 5 front-runners.

Hooker has the No. 6 Volunteers undefeated heading into a highly anticipated showdown with No. 3 Alabama. This season, Hooker has completed 98-of-140 passes for 1,432 yards and 10 touchdowns without an interception. Hooker is also UT’s No. 3 rusher with 45 carries for 231 yards and 3 TDs.
The Third Saturday in October showdown is sure to have a large audience, a strong showing from Hooker would go a long way in boosting his Heisman hopes.
