Rocket Sanders could be ready to return for takeoff when Arkansas (2-2) hosts Texas A&M (3-1) in Week 5. The standout tailback has been out since suffering a left knee injury during Arkansas’ 56-13 season-opening victory vs. Western Carolina.
During a recent radio appearance, Sanders confirmed that he’s gone through full contact practices this week and expects that he’ll be good to go against the Aggies.

“I’m really just trying to take [it] a day at a time. I’m feeling good. Actually practiced in full pads on Tuesday. Practiced yesterday and practiced today as well. So just feeling good and trying to get back in that routine and just back to myself,” Sanders said. “I definitely feel like I’ll be ready for this weekend. Just being on the sideline as well was an honor but just really like I said staying positive and ready to get back out there.”
The preseason second-team Associated Press All-American junior finished with 42 rushing yards including 2 touchdowns in the season opener. Sanders rushed for 1,443 yards and 7 touchdowns last season as he earned First-team All-SEC honors.
Arkansas has lost back-to-back games by 1 possession. Arkansas fell 38-31 to BYU in Week 3 and then lost 34-31 against LSU last weekend.
Texas A&M at Arkansas is slated for a noon EST kickoff on Saturday and will be televised on the SEC Network.
