Rodney Terry is heading into the 2023-24 season and his first as the full-time head coach at Texas. After replacing Chris Beard on an interim basis, the Longhorns handed Terry the permanent position heading into the offseason.
Now, Terry will reportedly have Texas facing an SEC foe in a key nonconference game next season. According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Terry says the Longhorns will play LSU in Houston’s Toyota Center next season.

After stepping in to lead Texas, Terry went 22-8 leading the Longhorns. Terry also guided Texas all the way to the Elite Eight, the program’s first since 2008, before falling to Miami.
We’ll see how Texas fares under Terry’s leadership, but next season’s matchup against LSU should be an exciting one for everyone involved.
