Roman Harper is busy at the SEC Network these days ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft breaking down SEC players who should hear their names called early in the 7-round event that takes place next week in Kansas City.

The draft is always tricky to predict, as there are 32 teams with their own evaluations of players. Thus, it always seems to happen that some players are drafted higher than expected and some lower.

On Sunday, Harper named 5 SEC players he expects to be picked earlier than many experts project — Mississippi State CB Emmanuel Forbes, Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker, LSU edge BJ Ojulari, Ole Miss WR Jonathan Mingo and Tennessee WR Cedric Tillman:

Forbes and Hooker could indeed be first-round picks if the draft goes a certain way, so it’ll be interesting to see if Harper is proven right.

The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night in Kansas City with Round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 follow on Friday and Rounds 4-7 take place on Saturday. It can be seen on ESPN and ABC.
