Recently, former LSU assistant coach Frank Wilson landed the head coaching job at UTSA.

He brought a couple of Tigers staff members with him when he made the move west, but now it appears as though some players are next to follow.

Ronnie Feist, a fourth year junior with the Tigers, graduated from LSU and announced Thursday that he will be attending UTSA for graduate school.

He should be eligible to play immediately.

Feist posted this message to his Instagram account on Thursday afternoon:

I’m proud to announce that I will be continuing my education at the University of Texas at San Antonio formally known as UTSA. I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure at LSU and was blessed to play under the leadership of Coach Les Miles. I have the pleasure of joining a team with the same coach who recruited me from West St.John, Coach Frank Wilson. @coachfrankwilson To all my fellow tigers, coaches and teammates, thank you for a wonderful experience and I will always cherish the years, experiences and growth that I endured in Death Valley. I am excited to enter into a new phase of my life, athletic and academic career. I am more than blessed to have this opportunity to continue to pursue my dream to play in the NFL. I will remain steadfast and faithful in God and HIS plans for my life. One thing I have learned is that there are many ways to get to one destination. It’s not about the road taken, but rather the journey endured. Forever LSU and Geaux Tigers! Geaux UTSA

Feist, who played both fullback and linebacker for LSU, was a four-star prospect coming out of high school.

He recorded just five tackles during his career at LSU.

Feist is likely to have a better opportunity to contribute at the Conference USA level.
