Roquan Smith is on the move. The Chicago Bears have traded the former Georgia standout to the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the NFL deadline.

The Bears will receive a pair of picks in the 2023 NFL Draft in return for trading Smith.

Smith is in his 5th NFL season. The Bears selected him No. 8 overall in the 1st round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Smith’s career highlights include PFWA All-Rookie Team honors (2018) and being named second-team All-Pro (2020, ’21) twice.

Smith played in 69 games, making 67 starts, for the Bears. He totaled 607 tackles, including 16.5 sacks, along 19 passes defended with 7 interceptions.

In 2022, Smith has started 8 games for Chicago, logging 83 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, with 3 passes defended, including 2 picks.

The Ravens sit atop the AFC North with a 5-3 record. They return to action at the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 7.
