Missouri’s No. 1 offensive option, Russell Hansbrough, didn’t make it through the first quarter of the season opener before an injury has sidelined him.

Hansbrough, a 5-foot-9, 195-pound senior, carried 2015 times for 1,084 yards in 2014. He’s the top returning skill player on a Mizzou team without any experienced pass catchers.

If Hansbrough’s injury is a minor sprained ankle as reported, he should be OK by the time the Tigers open SEC play Sept. 26 at Kentucky.

C Evan Boehm left the game for Missouri as well, but since has returned.
