Last week, South Carolina freshman QB Ryan Hilinski struggled in a loss at Mizzou, prompting an unfortunate headline from The State, a newspaper in Columbia.

The headline read “Hilinski Hope Sinks,” which angered many South Carolina fans who saw it as a shot at the Hilinski family’s “Hilinski’s Hope” foundation.

Well, after a 24-7 victory against Kentucky on Saturday, Hilinski fired off a perfect tweet trolling the newspaper, as you can see below:

Hilinski threw for 140 yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, but the running game carried the day, providing 247 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Can the 2-3 Gamecocks keep winning? Well, as Hilinski says… “Hope Never Sinks.”
