Rydarrius Morgan is an Auburn target from the 2024 class. He broke the news about his commitment date via social media on Sunday.

Morgan is listed as a 3-star safety per the 247Sports Composite. He will be picking one of his top choices on July 4th, which will be on Tuesday.

Morgan is very high on both Auburn and Florida State, according to 247Sports.

He comes in at 6-foot, 175 pounds out of Phenix City, Alabama. Alabama, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt are the other SEC schools who have reached out to him so far.

Morgan is the No. 55 safety and No. 28 Alabama prospect in the 2024 class. He recently visited with Florida State on Jun. 2, Cincinnati on Jun. 9, and Miami on Jun. 23. He had an unofficial visit with Auburn on May 18.

Auburn will be led by a new head coach in 2023. Hugh Freeze is returning to the SEC after a brief hiatus. Freeze coached Ole Miss from 2012-2016 and was at Liberty last season.

The Tigers missed out on a bowl game after finishing with a 5-7 record in 2022. Cadillac Williams was the interim HC after Bryan Harsin was fired during the regular season.

Auburn currently has eight commits from the 2024 class. Morgan would be the second safety to pick the Tigers out of the 2024 class if he chooses to go there.

Will Morgan be staying home?
