Sam Pittman and Arkansas were at a crossroads coming into the Florida game, but the Razorbacks delivered a memorable performance to win in overtime.

After the game, Pittman spoke on ESPN2 about the victory.

To setup the game-winning TD, KJ Jefferson rumbled for 20 yards.

“We were able to run there, that’s the one thing we didn’t do earlier in the game,” Pittman said. “We hadn’t been running the football well inside the red zone. Boy, we did there, KJ made a great, great run, on 1st and long.”

It was such a relief for Pittman, and he credited interim offensive coordinator Kenny Guiton, who took over for the fired Dan Enos 2 weeks ago, and Pittman added that the defense played well.

“But we just kept fighting,” he said. “It’s the first time in school history that we beat University of Florida in Florida, big deal. That wasn’t a 2-6 team, we were 0-0, and we’re trying to make a run, but I’m so proud of our football team.”
