Sam Pittman says Alabama-Texas A&M ‘went about like how I thought it would’

Sam Pittman watched a fun SEC battle between Alabama and Texas A&M on Saturday as the Tide came away with a big win over the Aggies.

For Pittman, the game went about how he expected.

He had high praise for the way Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe performed against the Aggies. He had 321 yards and 3 touchdowns on the game, looking dialed in halfway through the season.

“If there was some surprise, it would be the way that Milroe threw the football,” Pittman said during the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday. “Because he was on, he threw the long ball great, and of course McClellan is a strong, strong runner and had a good game as well. But it went about like how I thought it would that it’d be a slugfest and College Station is obviously hard to play in, and for them to go in and get that win I’m sure is a big thing for their program. For Alabama, go in there and win, but it went about how I thought it would.”

Now Pittman is tasked with preparing for Alabama, which will be looking to get another big SEC West win as the Tide gun for a spot in the SEC Championship.

Arkansas has struggled over the past few weeks, losing 4 straight games. The Razorbacks are looking for a big upset this week, but it won’t be an easy task.
