Turning point for the program: Sam Pittman recalls leading Arkansas to first SEC win

This time last year, Arkansas was perceived by many as not only the worst program in the Southeastern Conference, many believed the Razorbacks to be the worst Power 5 team in college football.
That tends to happen when you lose 20 consecutive league games.
However, Sam Pittman’s impact on the Razorback program was immediate, as Arkansas gave Georgia all it could handle in the 2020 season opener before the Hogs pulled off an upset of a ranked Mississippi State team on the road during the second weekend of the season.
The win by Arkansas snapped a 20-game SEC losing streak for the program and helped set the foundation of Pittman’s program in Fayetteville.
During his appearance at SEC Media Days, Pittman shared his recollection of his first win as head coach of the Hogs.
