During the off-season, there was a real chance that Dubinion would be one of the key pieces in the Razorbacks ground game. However, that hasn’t been the case this year as he hasn’t played since the game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Dubinion had carried the ball 3 times for 15 yards, with injuries in the off-season putting him lower on the depth chart. In his career at Arkansas, Dubinion has 568 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns.
This isn’t the first Arkansas player to be suspended this year. Wide receiver Dazmin James missed the game against UAB, again for breaking a team rule.
The loss of Dubinion shouldn’t hurt the depth chart too much, as Ja’Quinden Jackson has completely taken over the running back position. The combination of Jackson with the running ability of quarterback Taylen Green have carried the ball 128 out of the 173 carries for Arkansas this year.
The Razorbacks will be back in action this weekend against the Texas A&M Aggies. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, and will take place at AT&T Stadium on ESPN.
