It has been a rollercoaster season thus far for Arkansas.

The Razorbacks opened 3-0 and moved into the top 10 of the AP Poll only to lose their next 3 games.

They responded with a big road win at BYU to snap the slide 2 weeks ago before being off with a bye last week.

A tough 5-game stretch remains for Sam Pittman’s team, however, beginning Saturday with a road game at Auburn.

The Tigers’ offense has been much-maligned in 2022 but Pittman said he likes what he has seen from the Auburn running game of late.

“They’re running the ball really well,” said Pittman during Wednesday’s SEC coaches teleconference. “Obviously, the biggest concern is (Tank) Bigsby and (Jarquez) Hunter. They’re really good players. … We haven’t seen a lot of dual-threat quarterbacks (Robby Ashford) this year, and that creates some problems for us. They’re big and physical up front. They look like an SEC team.”

Pittman also scoffed Wednesday at the idea that his team might be looking past the Tigers given their 3-4 record.

“In all honesty, you don’t really look at a team’s record,” Pittman said. “You just look at a team on film. Auburn’s very scary. I think they’re very talented on both sides of the ball. A lot of times it depends on when (during the season) you get those teams. … We look at the team and their team is scary because they’ve got a lot of talent and they play extremely hard. Being on the road makes it that much harder. Jordan-Hare is a tough place to play.”

The Razorbacks and Tigers are set for a noon (ET) kick off Saturday in a game that will be televised by the SEC Network.
