San Diego State officially names former SEC assistant as head coach

Brady Hoke spent the 2017 season at Tennessee as the DL coach and, eventually, as interim coach when Butch Jones was fired.
Now, he’s returning to San Diego State, where he served as the head coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons before leaving for Michigan.
After Rocky Long announced his retirement on Wednesday, the school hired Hoke, who spent 2019 as the Aztecs’ DL coach:
Brady Hoke, who led San Diego State to its first bowl game in 12 seasons in his first stint on The Mesa from 2009-10, has been named the program's new head coach.

Hoke went 13-12 with a bowl win in his 2 years at the helm of the San Diego State program. Now, he’s back and can work on improving that record.
