Santiago Vescovi is running it back for one final year in Knoxville.
According to Mike Wilson of Knox News, Vescovi will return to Tennessee for a fifth and final season after weighing his options this offseason. This news comes on the same day Tennessee added former USC Upstate guard Jordan Gainey as a transfer commit.
Vescovi is one of the best pure shooters in Tennessee basketball history and is an off the ball wizard, as well as a defensive pest. He carried Tennessee’s offense at times this past season, with his absence being painfully noticeable when he was on the bench.
He’s the first of 3 seniors to make a decision on his future with the Vols. Tennessee fans are still awaiting word from G/F Josiah-Jordan James and center Uros Plavsic.
Santiago Vescovi is returning to Tennessee, he told Knox News.
The Vols senior is coming back for a fifth season. The two-time All-SEC selection is a major offseason win for Tennessee and Rick Barnes. https://t.co/tsA5ESZUTr

Vescovi’s accolade list is lengthy. He became the 2nd Vol in history to make 100 3-pointers in a single season in 2023, joining only Chris Lofton. He’s also a 2-time All-SEC selection and an SEC All-Tournament selection in 2022.
This will make a lot of folks in Knoxville very happy.
