Florida needed a big play as it trailed Arkansas in the 3rd quarter of Saturday’s game.

The Gators got just that from Scooby Williams.

Williams forced an Arkansas fumble and Jaydon Hill recovered, giving Florida excellent field position and a chance to take the lead.

The Gators needed just one play of offense to score after forcing the turnover as Graham Mertz found Ricky Pearsall on a 32-yard pass to score and give Florida a 23-30 lead. The Gators went for 2, but couldn’t convert.

Now Florida is looking for a big defensive showing to keep the Razorbacks out of the endzone. The game is heading down to the wire with Florida holding a narrow lead heading into the final quarter.

Arkansas is look for a win to snap its 6-game losing streak, and needless to say beating Florida would be a big one. The Gators are looking to avoid a loss to one of the SEC’s bottom-tier teams.
