Scott Frost hammered on social media after stunning admission in Monday press conference

If Nebraska head coach Scott Frost wanted to show that he was still the man for the job at his alma mater, then the 2021 season didn’t get off to a great start.
The former Cornhuskers quarterback returned to Lincoln ahead of the 2018 season as the university sought to turn the page from the Mike Riley era. So far, it hasn’t been a good return on investment as Frost has struggled to a 12-21 record, including a 9-18 mark in the Big Ten.
It continued on Saturday as Nebraska opened its season with a 30-22 loss to former Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema and Illinois. But even more troubling were the comments Frost made during his Monday press conference.
Frost on the offense at Illinois:
"About half of our game plan was out the window when they lined up how they did."

That certainly raised some eyebrows nationally, least of all in Lincoln. With a head coach’s job to adjust to whatever gameplan he encounters, for Frost to make a statement like this is interesting, to say the least.
The good news is that the Huskers host FCS Fordham on Saturday, which, by all accounts at least, should be a win.
Here’s some of the social media reaction to Frost’s comments:

“It’s not that we don’t have good players, it’s that we were woefully unprepared” is not exactly the way to win over the fan base. https://t.co/4M522qyntB
