In record time, new coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee Volunteers have gone from two 2018 quarterback commits to zero.
Shortly after 3-star 2018 commit Mike Penix announced he didn’t feel wanted by the new coaching staff and decommitted from the Vols.
Now, 4-star QB Adrian Martinez has announced that he’ll move on from Tennessee and join new coach Scott Frost at Nebraska in 2018 instead:

That’s obviously a huge get for Frost and the Cornhuskers, while it’s a huge blow to Pruitt’s first Tennessee class.
According to the 247Sports composite, Martinez is the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2018 and the No. 19 overall recruit from the state of California.
This isn’t a good look for Pruitt, especially with the early signing period coming up. If he can’t find a quarterback for his 2018 class, he’d better hope current QB Jarrett Guarantano is able to make a huge leap next season.
