Scott Van Pelt makes pick against the spread in Georgia-Kentucky Week 3 game
Scott Van Pelt has made his pick against the spread in Georgia’s Week 3 contest against Kentucky.
Georgia is a 24-point favorite over the Wildcats in this SEC showdown. Kentucky is coming off a deflating 31-6 home loss to South Carolina.
Despite that result, Van Pelt is taking the home team with the points on Saturday against the No. 1 Bulldogs. He made his pick during his weekly “Winners” segment with Stanford Steve on SportsCenter.
“I have to be honest, it’s terrifying. Because I told you, ‘how expensive is regret when you go against Georgia?'” Van Pelt said. “I did that Week 1. The Dawgs punished Clemson — and me. It’s happening again. Kentucky was a complete disaster last week. Just awful. 183 yards of offense. And Georgia’s defense is as good as anyone in the country. They have Bama coming next, admittedly it’s after a bye … I just think the ‘Cats have enough pride to not get stomped in this game.”
Per ESPN, Van Pelt is 7-4 all-time when picking Kentucky as part of this segment.
