After suffering a heartbreaking loss last weekend on the road against the No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners, the Auburn Tigers will now have to turn around and head down to College Station for a second straight road game against the No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies.
This is the stage for the clash between the 2 SEC powers, and ESPN analyst Scott Van Pelt sat down on Thursday night to discuss the huge game and make his selection for which team will ultimately cover during his weekly ‘Winners’ segment.
“I’m backing the War Eagle again after the heartbreak in Norman,” Van Pelt said. “It is a rugged back-to-back, and that is a concern, but this feels like a tight one in College Station.”
SVP isn’t outright picking Auburn to win, but the +6.5 betting line is close enough for him to choose the Tigers to cover, and that’s exactly what he’s done. Van Pelt is 10-5-1 all-time when picking Auburn on ‘Winners,’ per ESPN.

A&M will be looking to exact revenge against the Tigers for their 2024 Week 11 loss, a 43-41 defeat that ultimately knocked them out of both SEC and College Football Playoff contention.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
