Scottie Pippen’s son, Scotty Pippen Jr., is a star for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

This year, he’s averaging 17.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Commodores. On Saturday, in a 77-51 win over Austin Peay, Pippen scored 16 points.

Among those 16 points was his 1,000th career point for Vanderbilt. Scottie took to Twitter in the aftermath of the game to congratulate Scotty for his impressive career accomplishment:

Pippen Jr. will probably be off to the NBA after this season. He could have gone after last year, but decided to return to Vanderbilt to work on his game.

How many more points can Pippen Jr. score? The Commodores need him to continue being a star as SEC play quickly approaches.
