This ought to make Texas A&M fans universally ecstatic.

The Seattle Seahawks will no longer use ‘The 12th Man’ at CenturyLink Field, according to Chris Daniels of KING 5 News.

Texas A&M trademarked ’12th Man’ in 1990 and have allowed Seattle’s venue to use the slogan for $5,000 per season.

“The term 12th Man is invaluable to Texas A&M. There is no monetary value you could assign to it,” Texas A&M assistant vice-president Shane Hinckley said earlier this year according to KING 5 News.

In recent years at the height of the Seahawks’ success, the franchise has made substantial money off of the moniker. The No. 12 fan jersey is one of the NFL’s best-sellers.
