Sean McVay on Saturday provided an update on the status of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett.
Bennett, on Sept. 13, was placed on the Rams’ reserve/non-football injury list. McVay didn’t go into detail why, though.
“I really hope that you can please respect my wishes and regards to keeping that in-house,” he said on Sept. 14. “I understand you have a job to do, but there are certain things that are a little bigger and a little more important than the particulars and the specifics. We want to keep it in-house, and that’s where I want to leave it please.”
On Saturday, McVay was asked about Bennett and provided a promising update on the rookie.
“He’s doing really well, which I was really encouraged to be able to hear,” McVay said, according to The Athletic’s Jordan Rodrigue. “Got a chance to hear his voice and he sounds really good, and that was really cool to hear.”
McVay added that there was no timeline for the return of Bennett to team activities.
Regardless, whatever the situation is with the former Georgia quarterback, it sounds as if things are trending in the right direction.
