The inaugural Orlando Kickoff game between Ole Miss and Florida State will be televised by ESPN, and it will be in primetime.

The Rebels and Seminoles, who will clash on Monday, Sept. 5 at the newly renovated Orlando Citrus Bowl, will play at 8 p.m. ET on Labor Day.

For Ole Miss, it will be the second time in three seasons that it will play its season opener on a neutral field. In 2014, the Rebels took down Boise State 35-13 at the Georgia Dome in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.

There’s a chance that the game may be a matchup of top 5 teams.

It will also be just the second time Ole Miss has faced Florida State in football. The only other meeting came in 1961, when the Rebels beat the Seminoles 33-0. That was in John Vaught’s 15th season as head coach of Ole Miss.
