It’s February, and it doesn’t appear that SEC hoops is fading anytime soon.

That’s the look of it, at least according to Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology. The ESPN college basketball analyst slotted 7 SEC teams into his latest field on Thursday.

Here were those matchups:

  • No. 8 Alabama vs. No. 9 Michigan
  • No. 2 Auburn vs. No. 15 Florida Gulf Goast
  • No. 9 Arkansas vs. No. 8 Nevada
  • No. 6 Florida vs. No. 11 Houston
  • No. 4 Tennessee vs. No. 13 East Tennessee State
  • No. 10 Texas A&M vs. No. 7 Gonzaga
  • No. 5 Kentucky vs. No. 12 Louisiana

Lundardi also had Missouri and Georgia among his first 4 out, while A&M was among the last 4 with a bye.

The SEC was tied for second for the most teams in the field, but had as many as the B1G and Pac-12 combined.

With 6 weeks until the postseason, something tells me we’ll still have plenty of shakeups left on the road to March.
