After another exciting week of college football, the SEC has announced its Players of the Week for Week 8.
Cody Schrader was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week after a huge game against South Carolina where he rushed for a career-high 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Missouri’s win over the Gamecocks.
Mississippi State’s Nathaniel Watson was one of the Co-Defensive Players of the Week following a season-high 14 tackles and 2 tackles for loss in the Bulldogs’ defensive win over Arkansas.
Alabama’s Jihaad Campbell was the other Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his dominant game against Tennessee where he notched a career-high 10 tackles. He also had a scoop and score after Vols’ quarterback Joe Milton fumbled in the second half.
Alabama kicker Will Reichard was the Special Teams Player of the Week following a game where he scored 10 total points in the win over the Vols, including 2 field goals from 42 yards and 50 yards.
Missouri’s Javon Foster was the conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week after he didn’t allow a sack against South Carolina and was the highest-graded offensive lineman in the game.
Ole Miss’ Cedric Johnson was the Defensive Lineman of the Week after picking up 1.5 sacks against Auburn.
Suntarine Perkins was the Co-Freshman of the Week after the Ole Miss linebacker picked up 5 total tackles including a tackle for loss.
LSU running back Trey Holly was the other Co-Freshman of the Week after picking up 91 yards in his debut for the Tigers.
