SEC announces Players of the Week after Week 9

Following a full slate of SEC matchups over the weekend, the SEC revealed its Players of the Week for Week 9.

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey was the Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against Florida. McConkey had 135 receiving yards on 6 receptions, picking up a touchdown in Georgia’s routing of the Gators.

Texas A&M’s Edgerrin Cooper was the conference’s Co-Defensive Player of the Week after picking up 7 tackles and a sack in the Aggies’ win against South Carolina.

The other Co-Defensive Player of the Week was Ole Miss safety Trey Washington, who had a pair of interceptions against Vanderbilt.

Charles Campbell was the SEC’s Special Teams Player of the Week. The Tennessee kicker was huge in the Vols win over Kentucky, notching 4 field goals and contributing 15 points total on the night.

Auburn offensive lineman Gunner Britton was a Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week after helping the Tigers rack up a season-high 416 yards yards on the night. He also was the highest graded lineman in the game with a rating of 93.

Tennessee’s John Campbell Jr. was the other Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week after helping the Vols rack up 481 yards on the night.

Ole Miss’ Cedric Johnson was the SEC’s Defensive Lineman of the Week after collecting 7 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a sack.

Auburn center Connor Lew was the SEC’s Freshman of the Week after playing every snap for the Tigers and not allowing a single sack.
