The SEC announced its Players of the Week following an exciting week of SEC action.
To no one’s surprise, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week. Daniels had a historic performance on Saturday, becoming the first player in FBS history to pass for 350 yards and rush for 200 yards in the same game as he picked up 372 passing yards and 234 rushing yards. He also had 5 total touchdowns on the game.
Auburn’s Jalen McLeod was the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after his 9 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 3 sacks against Arkansas. He also forced a fumble in the game, helping Auburn hold Arkansas to just 10 points on the game.
Auburn’s Keionte Scott was the Special Teams Player of the Week after the punter returner took one 74 yards to the house against Arkansas, giving the Tigers an early 14-0 lead that the Razorbacks never recovered from. It was Auburn’s first punt return for a touchdown since 2014.
LSU’s Charles Turner was the conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week after he helped lead LSU to 701 total yards and 52 points on the night.
Missouri’s Darius Robinson was the Defensive Lineman of the Week after notching a sack, 2 tackles and a QB hurry, helping the Tigers’ hold Tennessee to just 83 rushing yards in the win.
Georgia’s CJ Allen was the SEC’s Freshman of the Week after the linebacker recorded 9 tackles, including a sack, in his first start for the Bulldogs.
