With another weekend of college football in the books, the SEC league office has officially named its Week 10 SEC Players of the Week:
Offensive Player of the Week – Jordan Ta’amu, QB, Ole Miss
- Ta’amu completed 31 of 40 passes for a career-high 382 yards and 4 TDs in the win over Kentucky.
- Threw the game-winning touchdown pass with five seconds left to beat the Wildcats.
- His 77.5 completion percentage is an Ole Miss single-game record (minimum of 40 attempts).
Co-Defensive Player of the Week – Ronnie Harrison, DB, Alabama
- Recorded six tackles and half a sack while leading the Tide defense in production points against LSU.
- Recorded his third interception of the season.
- Led the Tide pass defense that limited the Tigers to a 48.4 completion percentage and 155 yards passing.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week – Anthony Sherrils, S, Missouri
- Recorded two key turnovers that Missouri’s offense turned into 14 points in the Tigers win over Florida.
- Recorded six tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception in the 45-16 win over the Gators.
- His fumble recovery came on a muffed punt by Florida and set up the Tigers for the opening touchdown of the game.
Special Teams Player of the Week – JK Scott, P, Alabama
- Had eight punts for 413 total yards, an average of 51.6 yards per punt.
- Six of his eight kicks were downed inside the 20-yard line with four downed inside the 11-yard line.
- Five of his punts traveled 50 or more yards.
- LSU returned just one punt for two yards.
Co-Freshman of the Week – DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
- Recorded five catches for 83 yards and a career-high 2 TDs.
- His first touchdown went for 58 yards while his second one was a game-winner with five seconds to play.
- Leads SEC freshman in catches, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Co-Freshman of the Week –Â Aidan Marshall, P, Auburn
- Punted five times with an average of 47.4 yards per punt and a long of 70 yards.
- His average yards per punt is fourth best in a game by an Auburn punter in the last 10 years (minimum of five punts).
- Helped hold Texas A&M return specialist Christian Kirk without a punt return.
Offensive Lineman of the Week –Â Braden Smith, RG, Auburn
- Helped pave the way for an Auburn offense that gained 496 total yards with 228 rushing yards.
- Led an Auburn offense that scored 42 points for the fifth time in its last six SEC games.
- Graded at 87% with 13 blocks.
Defensive Lineman of the Week –Â Josiah Coatney, DL, Ole Miss
- Recorded a career-high two sacks with 2.5 tackles for loss in the win over Kentucky.
- Added five total tackles.
- Helped the Rebels defense record four sacks against the Wildcats.
