The first ever SEC showdown between Tennessee and Texas A&M proved to be too much to pass on, as CBS has selected the game between the two 5-0 teams to be the SEC on CBS Game of the Week. Both teams are likely to be ranked in the Top 10 when the new polls are released Sunday.
The Vols first trip to College station was selected over the Alabama to Arkansas game in Fayetteville. The Tide have beaten the Razorbacks eight consecutive times – the longest streak in the series. That game will be aired on ESPN.
The news was announced Saturday night by SEC Communications Director Chuck Dunlap on Twitter:
Tennessee at Texas A&M will be on CBS next week at 230 CT/330 ET. Alabama at Arkansas will be on ESPN at 6 CT/ 7 ET.

Tennessee and Texas A&M have only met twice on the field, with the Vols winning both matchups. The two schools last met in the 2005 Cotton Bowl, which Tennessee won 38-7.
