For the six SEC baseball teams in the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament, Sunday is shaping up to be a day of either dogpiles or disappointment.
Four teams – Auburn, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt – can punch their ticket to Omaha with a win. Auburn, Arkansas and MSU all won Game 1 of their series. Vanderbilt evened up its series with Duke thanks to a historic no-hitter from Kumar Rocker.
Ole Miss and LSU, meanwhile, are down 0-1 in their series and must win to stay alive. The Tigers are facing a Seminoles squad determined to take college baseball’s all-time winningest coach, Mike Martin, to another College World Series.
