We have some great news to share for baseball and softball fans as the NCAA has reportedly made the decision to open up attendance to 100 percent, provided that local and state guidelines allow it.
This is great news for the SEC as the league had 12 softball teams advance to the 2021 NCAA Tournament and as many as nine baseball teams have been projected to make the 2021 NCAA Tournament, with many of the SEC teams set to host regionals.
Now comes a report from Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball that the NCAA plans to open up fan capacity. This news comes after the NCAA was set to restrict fan attendance to just 50 percent.
“The NCAA is expected to announce today that the baseball and softball championships will allow 100 percent capacity if local and state guidelines allow for it. This is massive news for both sports,” Rogers reported on Wednesday.
It’s going to be one heck of a spring in the SEC.
