Rebels advance: Ole Miss blanks Georgia in 2021 SEC Tournament

Ole Miss made it look easy on Thursday as the Rebels shut out Georgia 4-0 to advance in the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament.

Following this result, No. 5 seed Ole Miss advances to face the loser of Thursday night’s matchup between No. 1 seed Arkansas and No. 4 seed Vanderbilt. That game will be played on Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.

Georgia, the No. 8 seed in the tournament, has been eliminated from the 2021 SEC Tournament after losing for a second time

Ole Miss finished the game with seven hits, while Georgia had just five.

Rebel pitcher Drew McDaniel is credited for the win after pitching 6.2 scoreless innings and striking out 11 Georgia batters.
