Bovada’s newest betting odds for the national championship and Heisman Trophy contenders heavily feature SEC teams and players.

But you can probably guess which squad is leading the way in both races.

Alabama is the betting favorite to win the national title and produce the Heisman Trophy winner, according to Bovada’s updated odds released Monday. The Crimson Tide now has 2/1 odds of winning the national title, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa possesses 10/2 odds of hoisting the Heisman Trophy in December.

But both lists have a distinctive SEC flavor, most notably in the national championship hunt. Georgia is tied with Ohio State for the third-best odds (8/1), while Auburn (14/1), LSU (40/1), Mississippi State (60/1) and Texas A&M (75/1) are among the 20 teams listed by Bovada.

Two Georgia players were featured among the Heisman frontrunners, with running back D’Andre Swift commanding 22/1 odds and quarterback Jake Fromm pegged at 50/1. Three other SEC quarterbacks appeared on the list — Missouri’s Drew Lock (40/1), Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham (40/1) and Mississippi State’s Nick Fitzgerald (80/1).

As if having the leader of the pack wasn’t enough, Alabama also placed two other players on the Heisman list. Running back Damien Harris currently enjoys 50/1 odds, while backup quarterback Jalen Hurts moved from off the board to 100/1 odds.
