After another dominant week from the SEC frontrunners, there was little change for the five league teams featured in this week’s Football Writers Association of America-National Football Foundation Super 16 poll.
No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Georgia and No. 5 LSU all retained their spots this week along with their designation as the only teams receiving first-place votes. The Crimson Tide collected 49 of the 51 top votes, with the Bulldogs and Tigers claiming one apiece.
Auburn, meanwhile, moved up one spot to No. 9 as Kentucky vaulted two spots to No. 14. Florida and Texas A&M were among the other squads receiving votes on the fringe of the top 16, garnering three and two votes, respectively.
