Georgia just did the improbable. The Bulldogs erased a 14-point 4th quarter lead against Ohio State to fight their way back the the National Championship game, winning 42-41.

And with Ohio State’s missed attempt at a game-winning field goal, the SEC has extended its CFP semifinal win streak to 10. The conference is 10-1 overall, with Alabama’s loss to Ohio State in 2014 as the only outlier.

That’s dominance. No. 3 TCU, which shocked the country with a statement win over No. 2 Michigan Saturday afternoon preceding the Peach Bowl, stands in the way of Georgia claiming back-to-back National Championship titles. The Horned Frogs didn’t back down from a challenge in the Fiesta Bowl and have done enough to prove they truly belong against the Bulldogs.

The National Championship game is set for Monday, Jan. 9 at 7:30. It will be aired on ESPN.
