SEC WEEK 5 NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

  • Shane Ray, Mizzou (8 tackles, 2.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks at South Carolina) — College football’s sack leader registered two more on Saturday night in Columbia, S.C., the ringleader of constant pressure on South Carolina quarterback Dylan Thompson.

LINEBACKERS

  • Martrell Spaight, Arkansas (13 tackles, 1.0 TFL vs. Texas A&M) — Spaight continued his banner senior season with a game-high 8 solo tackles (13 overall) against the Aggies.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

  • Deshazor Everett, Texas A&M (16 tackles, 1.5 TFL, vs. Arkansas) — Coach Kevin Sumlin was complimentary of several seniors, notably Everett, after the Aggies’ heroic comeback against Arkansas and applauded his return from a violent collision. The cornerback’s career-high 16 tackles included key stops down the stretch, none bigger than his hit on the game-winning tackle in overtime.
