SEC, Georgia fans aren’t thrilled Patrick Reed won the Masters

Former Georgia golfer Patrick Reed won the Masters on Sunday, finishing the weekend tournament with a score of 15-under par.
However, Bulldog fans weren’t exactly thrilled to see a former UGA athlete win his first-career green jacket, as Reed’s history in Athens is a controversial one.
Reed was kicked off the Georgia golf team after one year for a pair of underage drinking incidents, but there were also rumors that he cheated on the course and also stole money and gear from a teammate.
Since Georgia fans (and SEC fans in general) have long memories, many took to Twitter to express their displeasure at Sunday’s result:

Maybe now Patrick Reed can pay back what he stole while at Georgia. #TheMasters

Patrick Reed will become the first champion in #TheMasters history to wear the Green Jacket to a Florida-Georgia Line concert.
