ESPN reveals a new set of power rankings after each week of college football action. The SEC typically has major representation in these rankings, and the post-Week 12 rankings are no exception.

The SEC now has 6 teams inside of the top 25 power rankings, including the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. The Bulldogs earned the No. 1 ranking after throttling the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Missouri Tigers are the other SEC teams inside of the top 10.

The Tide destroyed FCS Chattanooga in Week 12, while the Tigers got past the Florida Gators at home. The Tide come in at No. 8 while the Tigers come in at No. 10.

The Ole Miss Rebels come in at No. 11 after easily dismantling the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 35-3. The Rebels improved to 9-2 with an Egg Bowl matchup against Mississippi State up next.

The LSU Tigers are in at No. 14. The Tigers dominated the Georgia State Panthers to improve to 8-3 on the season. Jayden Daniels continues to improve and should be a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Finally, the Tennessee Volunteers are barely hanging on in the rankings. The Vols are sitting at 7-4 after a blowout loss to the Bulldogs.

  • No. 1 – Georgia
  • No. 8 – Alabama
  • No. 10 – Mizzou
  • No. 11 – Ole Miss
  • No. 14 – LSU
  • No. 24 – Tennessee
