SEC leads all conferences with 11 players on USA TODAY All-America teams
Many believe the SEC has lost its status as college football’s premier conference, but it is still filling up All-America teams.
USA TODAY released its much-anticipated All-America teams on Thursday, and the SEC led all FBS conferences with 11 players selected. It should come as no surprise that five of those players hail from Alabama, which had more players selected than any other team.
Outside of Alabama, the other SEC programs represented were Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, which each had one player selected.
Here is a full rundown of the SEC players on the first and second teams.
