Hardly any college football matchup this season was more anticipated than the Week 7 contest between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Volunteers. And it didn’t disappoint, either.
Tennessee ultimately came out on the winning side of what was a high-scoring, close game, notching the 52-49 victory in Neyland Stadium. With action like this, it wasn’t surprising that this one became the most-watched college contest this year by nearly one million.
The game had a viewership of 11.557 million, according to Sports TV Ratings.

While Tennessee’s next matchup is against a lowly non-conference opponent, expect Alabama to continue to draw some eyeballs as it looks to get back on the right track against a Mississippi State team aiming to do the same on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
