How did SEC media do with preseason predictions in 2015?

The SEC media went one-for-three in picking division winners and the conference champion. In the point tallying system, Auburn was the media’s top choice to win the SEC Championship. Georgia was the summer choice to win the SEC East. The correctly picked Alabama to win the SEC West.

Two teams the media misjudged most were Auburn and Florida. The Tigers were somewhat bizarrely, due to its points system, picked to finish second in the SEC West and win the SEC Championship, but finished a disappointing 6-6 at the bottom of the western division. The Gators were picked to come in fifth, but won the SEC East with a 7-1 conference record, including a 6-0 sweep of division opponents.

Georgia RB Nick Chubb was the top vote getter (189) in the preseason, but had his season shortened due to injury. Alabama RB Derrick Henry was awarded offensive player of the year by coaches. The media voted Henry onto the second with team with 151 votes.
