SEC Nation is headed to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry.
The SEC Network’s flagship pregame show will be on hand for the first-ever SEC game between Texas and Oklahoma. That announcement was made on Saturday morning.

The Longhorns and Sooners are both idle in Week 6 as they prepare for their annual meeting at the Cotton Bowl. The game, which takes place inside of the Texas State Fair, has been played in Dallas annually since 1929.
This year’s game will feature a pair of ranked teams with College Football Playoff aspirations. Texas is undefeated on the year and has a big road win over Michigan already on its résumé.
The Sooners haven’t been quite as dominant, but they are coming off of a big win over Auburn on the road in Week 5. OU’s only blemish so far in 2024 came at home vs. Tennessee back in September.
The quarterback position will be a prominent storyline for both teams. Quinn Ewers is expected to make his return to the lineup after missing the last couple games with an abdominal injury. For Oklahoma, true freshman Michael Hawkins Jr. is set to make just the second start of his career next week in Dallas.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 12.
