“SEC Nation” is headed to Jacksonville for the Georgia-Florida rivalry clash in Week 9. Laura Rutledge, the host of the SEC Network’s traveling pregame show, made the announcement Friday while appearing live on “The Paul Finebaum Show” from Baton Rouge.
Rutledge will be joined by Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Tim Tebow at the World’s Largest’s Outdoor Cocktail Party to preview No. 1 Georgia vs. Florida. UGA’s national championship repeat campaign is off to a perfect 7-0 start while the Gators have been up-and-down in Billy Napier’s first season, posting a 4-3 start to the 2022 season.
Kirby Smart is 4-2 in the rivalry as the head coach of the Bulldogs, including a 3-game winning streak from 2017-to-2019. In Napier’s first season, the Gators are struggling in rivalry games, falling to Tennessee and LSU. Both UF and UGA are off in Week 8.
The Week 9 game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, airing on CBS.
