SEC Nation reveals Week 8 destination

After a riveting weekend of conference action, SEC Nation is taking its show on the road once again for Week 8.

This time, the SEC Network pregame show will head to Baton Rouge for the major showdown between LSU (5-2, 3-1) and visiting No. 7 Ole Miss (7-0, 3-0).

LSU avoided a losing streak by beating Florida 45-35 in The Swamp.

LSU QB Jayden Daniels completed 23 of his 32 passes for 349 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in the victory. Daniels was equally dynamic on the ground, as he rushed for 44 yards and three touchdowns as well.

LSU receiver Kayshon Boutte finished with six receptions for 115 yards. Jaray Jenkins, Brian Thomas Jr., and John Emery Jr. caught touchdown passes. LSU running back Josh Williams tallied 106 yards with a long of 50.

Ole Miss is coming off a 48-34 home victory vs. Auburn. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart completed nine of his 19 passes for 130 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Otis Reese led Ole Miss with 10 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack.

LSU leads the all-time series 61-41-4 against Ole Miss. Ole Miss won last season’s meeting 31-17 in Oxford. LSU-Ole Miss is slated for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
