As we creep closer to the kickoff of the 2019 college football season, we’re about to see a flood of rankings and lists from various media outlets. SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic decided to share one list Tuesday with his 46,000+ Twitter followers: his five best players in the SEC.

Cubelic gave the No. 1 spot to LSU DB Grant Delpit. Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy came in second, with his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, right behind. Auburn DT Derrick Brown checks in at No. 4 while Georgia RB D’Andre Swift rounds out the top five. The brief tweet does not offer any details into how Cubelic came to these rankings, but he’ll certainly have plenty of opportunities to breakdown the rankings on his radio show, “3 Man Front,” as well as during next week’s SEC Media Days.

Not many SEC fans are likely to fully agree with Cubelic’s five players and their ranking, but it’s a list that will certainly get football-hungry fans talking.
