Saturday was a busy day around the SEC, with Alabama blowing out Ole Miss, LSU upsetting Auburn, Arkansas going down to North Texas, Mizzou squeaking out a close road win and much, much more.
On Sunday mornings, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic takes to Twitter to break down the madness.
Following Week 3’s slate of games, he had a busy task, but he broke down each of the 14 teams’ performances.
Here’s what he had to say about each SEC squad this week:
We do it each week, the Sunday SEC review:
ALABAMA: They are like Bruce Smith being described by Dennis Leary in that 90’s Nike commercial…
”Baaaad things man”Just an absolute handful & the 1st offense has hardly had to stretch their legs for more than a half of football.

AUBURN: Bad matchup for the offense. Couldn’t close it on the ground. 3rd downs, flags & the 2 turnovers were killer. Whitlow asserted himself in the backfield. More consistent pass rush from Front 4 will be required moving forward. OL couldn’t hold up vs 4 rushers consistently.

GEORGIA: This team just handles themselves extremely well. Never seems to try to be who they aren’t. Love how the staff doesn’t try to force too much of the game through Fromm. 10 different players had a rush attempt. Defense gets a nice test this week.

LSU: Best resume in CFB. Defense so good. Elite at all 3 levels. Aranda never has to overcompensate to make up for a deficiency. Yards tough but found a way when had to have them. OL better than expected. Center was solid. Burrow isn’t dynamic but proved a ton! Got pressure w/4.

MISSOURI: Road won vs Power 5 opponent. Always nice. Won’t get a turnover & 13 flags every week. Lock lighting it up, 11 TD’s to 1 INT!! Defense slowly improving. Interested to see how they handle pace & personnel this week.

TENNESSEE: QB is making some throws. Fit a few balls in tight windows. Offense has nice balance but just seem to be more effective with the spread based stuff. 73 was bright spot along the OL. Thought the RBs played hard.

VANDERBILT: Folks need to accept Shurmur is a really good QB. Needs some balance in run game. Some crucial mistakes them cost them. Didn’t consistently win LOS but had a shot late. Tough to overcome 3 turnovers on the road.

Next week promises to be just as crazy, so tune in next Sunday to see what Cubelic has to say about the SEC’s Week 4 matchups.
