SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic tweets takeaways from SEC’s Week 9 action

Published:
Week 9 saw 10 SEC teams in action, with Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt sitting out this weekend’s games.
There were some tight games and some blowouts in the conference, and SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic took to Twitter on Sunday morning to break down the action.
As you can see below, he tweeted a takeaway for each of the 10 teams that played on Saturday. Here’s what he thought of each team’s performance:
ARKANSAS:
Just no time to operate on offense. Needed more 85 IMO. The plan could have had some success. Misdirection & matchups were not terrible. Pick a QB go with what you know you have. 3 had a great night on defense. Run fits were less than optimal. TE on 24 wsnt working— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) October 27, 2019
KENTUCKY:
Lynn Bowden is the single most valuable player to his team in the league. OL/TEs fantastic in run game. DL having a really nice year & nobody really knows it. Overcame conditions & early turnovers. Just kept grinding. Defense gave up 1 explosive play. Big finish coming?— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) October 27, 2019
MISSISSIPPI STATE:
One of the worst tackling performances I’ve seen this season. Play seemed uninspired. Sloppy. Flags & turnovers were rough. More Hill helped but need balance & consistency in pass game. OL inconsistent. Next week becomes must win.— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) October 27, 2019
SOUTH CAROLINA:
30 carries for 78 yards isn’t getting it done. They can’t live with that. Too much of the game went on the QB & the protection wasn’t good enough. Halftime adjustments? Not great in coverage. Edwards/Smith seemed like only life for the offense. Next 3 now massive.— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) October 27, 2019
TEXAS A&M:
Mond was great. So tough in the run game & it got going outside of him. Spiller looked more confident. Pretty clean game with only 5 flags & no turnovers. Turning two turnovers into 14 points in the first half slammed the door. Got big games from a few freshman.— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) October 27, 2019
Week 10 features some more big games, including Florida and Georgia’s annual rivalry. LSU and Alabama will be sitting out, though, ahead of their Week 11 showdown.
Tune in this time next week to see what Cubelic has to say about the Week 10 slate of SEC games.
